The AIR Pod has been developed by a French company called MDI (Motor Development International) and is powered by a 44P06 active chamber that uses compressed air. The powertrain of the MDI AIR Pod develops 5.45 hp and 15 Nm of torque. This is enough to get the MDI AIR Pod up to a top speed of 70 km/h and to offer it a 220 km range in an urban cycle.
The MDI AIR Pod is able to transport 3 adults and one child and has space for their luggage. The MDI AIR Pod is 2 meters long and 1.6 meters wide and has been designed for city use, in the most congested traffic.
