Mercedes revealed recently the new S65 AMG Coupe, which replaces their previous, high-performance, large coupe, the SL65 AMG. The new S65 AMG Merc is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 463 kW (630 hp) at 4,800-5,400 rpm and 1,000 Nm of torque at 2,300-4,300 rpm. According to Mercedes' official performance figures, the new S65 AMG Coupe is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). In terms of efficiency, Mercedes rates the new S65 Coupe with an 11.9 l/100 km combined fuel consumption and a 279 g/km CO2 emissions level. Mercedes equips the new S65 Coupe with a sports suspension, based on MAGIC BODY CONTROL with curve tilting function and ROAD SURFACE SCAN.
The equipment list of the new S65 Coupe AMG includes biturbocharging, an ECO start/stop function, and an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission.
Mercedes equips the new S65 coupe with speed-sensitive sports steering with variable steering ratio, 20-inch polished forged wheels with fully integrated wheel bolt cover, ceramic brakes, a head-up display and touchpad.
