The aftermarket specialists from RENNtech revealed today a new powerkit and a body kit for the Mercedes AMG GT S. RENNtech's body kit for the Mercedes AMG GT S includes a more aggressive looking front bumper with broad air intakes, side skirts, a modified rear apron with an integrated fissure and a rather large rear wing. The business end of RENNtech's tuning program for the Mercedes AMG GT S is the powerkit, which includes extensive modifications. The standard Mercedes AMG GT S is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that puts out 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The Stage 1 of RENNtech's power package for the Mercedes AMG GT S includes upgraded turbos with lightweight compressor wheels. Optionally, you can add high-flow air filters and a bespoke stainless steel exhaust system with 200-cell catalytic converters.
As you can imagine, there's also a re-mapped ECU.
As a result of RENNtech's powerkit, the Mercedes AMG GT S puts out 716 hp and 888 Nm of torque. Unfortunately, the tuner did not disclose the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of their modified supercar, nor its top speed. However, they do mention the price of the power pack is set at just under $12,000. RENNtech's Mercedes AMG GT S is also fitted with a coilover suspension, which is priced at $1,980.
