Mercedes revealed last the new AMG GT, which is going to replace the SLS AMG supercar in the German carmakers model line-up. Here are the Mercedes AMG GT's specifications. The power comes from a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that develops 340 kW (462 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at between 1,600 rpm and 5,000 rpm. With this engine the Mercedes AMG GT is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.0 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 189 mph (304 km/h). If this is not enough power for you, there's also the Mercedes AMG GT S. The S version of the AMG GT is powered by the same engine, but it puts out 375 kW (510 hp) at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 4,750 rpm. The Mercedes AMG GT S accelerates from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h).
According to the official specs, the Mercedes AMG GT offers a 30.4 mpg (UK) / 9.3 l/100 km fuel economy and a 216 g/km CO2 emissions level, while the AMG GT S offers a 30.0 mpg (UK) 9.4 l/100 km fuel consumption and a 219 g/km CO2 emissions level.
The equipment list of the Mercedes AMG GT includes LED headlights, 'hot inside V' and dry sump lubrication, a performance exhaust system with fully variable exhaust flaps, a 7-speed dual clutch transmission in transaxle configuration, and an electronic rear-axle locking differential.
The Mercedes AMG GT comes with a double-wishbone suspension, electronically controlled damping and a ceramic high-performance composite brake system. The safety systems offered by the Mercedes AMG GT include COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, ADAPTIVE BRAKE, ATTENTION ASSIST and the tire pressure monitoring system, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, the PRE-SAFE system, PARKTRONIC, a reversing camera, Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist and Traffic Sign Assist.
