Mitsubishi announced that it will further reduce the production by adding five more weeks of non-production at its plant in Normal, Illinois. The five week period will begin on April 6 and will bring a total of twelve weeks of non-production, from February 16, 2009 through May 8, 2009.
Mitsubishi says it will begin its normal schedule at the Illinois plant on Monday, May 11, 2009.
These 12 weeks will help optimize inventories of Mitsubishi products in the U.S. and overseas markets.
