The first hints that the Mitsubishi Evo X FQ400 was in the plan for Mitsubishi UK starting appearing in October and today Autocar.co.uk published the first images and details on the new model. The Mitsubishi Evo X FQ400 has been developed in collaboration with ADR Motorsport and will have a 405 hp power output. The 2.0 liter turbo engine of the Mitsubishi Evo X FQ400 will have a torque output of 400lb-ft. This significant power increase translates to a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of just 3.5 seconds.
The company says the Mitsubishi Evo X FQ400 will be easier to drive than the one based on the Evo VIII since it will not be equipped with a race clutch. Mitsubishi also said the new Evo X FQ400 will only be available with the manual gearbox.
Visually, the Mitsubishi Evo X FQ400 will come with additional air intakes and vents, a larger bonnet intake and upgraded brakes.
The Mitsubishi Evo X FQ400 price will be in the 45,000 and 50,000 pounds.
