NASCAR and NASA announced they will team up for the 'From Rockets to Race Cars' exhibition which will be displayed at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina between May 29-30. Through this exhibition, NASCAR and NASA aim to show how much the space industry has influenced the racing world. The highlights will include a NASA Benefits Race Car display and guess what... lots of tires. So, if you're into tire exhibitions, NASCAR and NASA will show you a NASCAR tire, Shuttle tire, Lunar Rover tire, Lunar Tweel (a non-pneumatic tire/wheel combination) and a Spring Tire.
There will also be a competition with the grand prize being the opportunity to take a photo, with your own camera, in which you'll look like you are sitting in a NASA Race Car. Great!
