At the end of last month Porsche accused Nissan of cheating when they established the GT-R's Nurburgring record. The Nissan GT-R managed a 7 minutes 29 seconds time around a lap of the Ring. Porsche engineers said they believe the GT-R used for the lap was equipped with special tires, and not the standard ones you can get in a store. They said they tested their own Nissan GT-R and constantly got 25 seconds slower lap times.
Nissan's answer to the accusation came today when the company released a new video of the Nissan GT-R lapping the Ring in 7 minutes 29 seconds, with standard tires.
