The French manufacturer has announced today that because of the interest it raised, the Peugeot BB1 will go into production. The Peugeot BB1 concept is a 100% electric vehicle that was unveiled at the last Frankfurt auto show. The production version of the Peugeot BB1 will be 2.5 meters long and will offer seating for 4 occupants. The company wants the Peugeot BB1 to offer connectivity with all the latest smart phones, a very efficient use of space, dynamism and great maneuverability.
The Peugeot BB1 concept shown in Frankfurt is powered by an electric motor that drives the rear wheels of the car. The Peugeot BB1 outputs 20hp and 320 Nm of torque. It's top speed is 90 km/h and can get from 0 to 60 km/h in 4.0 seconds.
The company however, did not mention whether or not the production version of the Peugeot BB1 will feature the same engine.
The Peugeot BB1 price will be announced at a later date and the new model expected to hit the showrooms sometime in the next two years.
