The Pininfarina Hyperion Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe, the last creation of Andrea Pininfarina, Chairman and CEO of Pininfarina S.p.A., was unveiled the past week-end at the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach.
The first inspiration for the Pininfarina Hyperion Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe came from the 1930s cars with their majestic long bonnets. The position of the driver has been moved back by 400 mm, change made possible by the removal of the back seats.
The body of the Pininfarina Hyperion Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe is made from carbon fiber and the doors are from solid wood. The doors have been manufactured by craftsmen who specialise in creating components for luxury boats.
Alongside the wooden doors, the Pininfarina Hyperion Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe also incorporates the latest technology, with Bixenon headlights and LED technology.
