Porsche and Volkswagen announced today that they have been negotiating in order to become an integrated car manufacturing group which will include 10 brands. Porsche and Volkswagen say the 10 brands will be managed by a single leading company that will ensure the independence of each of them and especially Porsche.
The negotiations towards the creation of the integrated car manufacturing group will intensify with the participation of Volkswagen, Porsche, the State of Lower Saxony as largest co-shareholder and employee representatives of both companies.
The two companies say a decision will be taken within four weeks.
