The German carmaker has announced that Porsche is under investigation by the public prosecutor's office under the suspicion of breach of publicity duties as prescribed by the German Stock Corporation Act. Porsche is also suspected of market manipulation.
Yesterday morning investigative proceedings have been carried out at Porsche Automobil Holding SE and Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, which are both in Stuttgart. Officials with judicial search warrants have searched the headquarters of both companies and seized various documents.
Porsche says it rejects these allegations and that it cooperates with the public prosecutor's office in order to clarify this matter.
