Rolls Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase

 »  »  »

Rolls-Royce made its first world debut on the Asian continent today, by revealing the Ghost Extended Wheelbase version at the Shanghai auto show. China is known as the biggest market for long wheelbase versions. Practically, every major car manufacturer is offering at least one LWB model on the Chinese market, including BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Volkswagen. Rolls Royce, the undisputed leader of the luxury limousine segment, had to offer one too.

Rolls Royce's Ghost Extended Wheelbase will be built to order and it will be available in limited numbers. The Ghost Extended Wheelbase is 170 mm longer than Rolls Royce's regular model. What's been increased is the legroom for the rear passengers, obviously.

Rolls Royce says the knee room is more than double compared to the standard Ghost.

The Extended Wheelbase is powered by the same 6.6 liter twin turbo charged V12 engine as the standard Rolls Royce Ghost. This means it outputs 563 hp and 780 Nm of torque at just 1,500 rpm. The Extended Wheelbase version of the Ghost requires 5 seconds for the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration sprint.

Rolls Royce did not announce the price for the Ghost Extended Wheelbase at this moment.
