Rolls Royce revealed today at the Geneva auto show the Wraith, which is the most powerful and dynamic model they have ever built. The Rolls Royce Wraith is powered by a V12 engine with direct injection that puts out 624 bhp / 632 PS (DIN) / 465 kW at 5,600 rpm and 800 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm and 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission. Rolls Royce's official specifications say that the Wraith is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). This is pretty impressive taking into account that the Wraith weighs 2360 kg / 5203 lb. However, this is talking a toll on its efficiency. The Rolls Royce Wraith is rated with an urban fuel consumption of 21.2 liters/100 km (13.3 mpg) and a combined fuel economy of 14.0 liters/100 km (20.2 mpg). Its CO2 emissions are rated at 327 g/km.

The Rolls Royce Wraith measures 5269 mm / 17 ft.3" in length, 1947 mm / 6 ft 5" in width and 1507 mm / 4 ft 11" in height. It comes with a 470 liters / 16.6 cubic feet boot.

One of the new technologies brought by the Wraith is the Satellite Aided Transmission, which uses GPS mapping data to ensure the correct gear is always pre-selected for the road terrain ahead. The Rolls Royce Wraith is also equipped with voice activated connectivity and its interior is built using Canadel Panelling to offer a yacht-like atmosphere.

The Wraith also comes with Rolls Royce's trademark Starlight Headliner, which features 1,340 fiber optic lamps integrated into the roof of the car.

Another interesting feature of the Rolls Royce Wraith is its Spirit of Ecstasy Rotary Controller, which allows the driver to control the multimedia system through a touch pad.

The Rolls Royce Wraith's price is set at €245,000 and it is going to go on sale towards the end of this year. All the details and specifications of the Wraith are available here.
