Seat revealed today the Ibiza Cupster concept, which is going to have its world debut at the 2014 Worthersee Treffen. Worthersee Treffen is the annual meet of the Volkswagen Group's fans. The Ibiza Cupster is an open-top version of the Cupra model, which is meant to celebrate the hatchback's 30th anniversary. The Ibiza Cupster is powered by Seat's 1.4 TSI 180 PS engine, which mated to a DSG dual-clutch transmission. The Ibiza Cupster is a two-seater and it's lower and wider than the series production Cupra. The windscreen of the Cupra has been replaced with a wrap-around strip window. The driver and the passenger of the Ibiza Cupster sit 80 mm lower than the ones of the standard Cupra. The Ibiza Cupster comes with several other distinctive design elements.

These include a new steering wheel covered in pure aniline leather and the custom orange exterior finish. The interior of the Ibiza Cupster is inspired by the racing world, with minimalist instrument dials, black Alcantara upholstery and low-slung bucket seats. The concept sits on 18-inch wheels. As you can imagine, the Seat will probably never put the Ibiza Cupster into production.
