Seat revealed today the facelifted 2012 Ibiza model range, including the base model, the three-door SC, the ST station wagon, and the sporty FR version. The 2012 Seat Ibiza facelift shows various interior and exterior design updates, and it comes with improved efficiency while promising a higher quality. At the exterior, the facelifted 2012 Ibiza shows a re-designed bumper with a trapezoidal grille, new headlights and fog lights, and a re-styled hood. The rear of the 2012 Seat Ibiza is mostly the same, except maybe for the taillights, which show minor styling updates.
Seat did not release any images of the 2012 Ibiza's interior, so we'll have to take their word for it.
The facelifted Ibiza will come with a new steering wheel, restyled climatronic controls, an improved instrument cluster, and a larger (10.7 liters) glove compartment. The three-door 2012 Seat Ibiza SC and the five-door hatchback model have a 284-liter / 292-litre boot with the rear seats split/folded. The 2012 Seat Ibiza ST estate has a 430-litre luggage compartment (1,164 liters with the rear bench folded).
2012 Seat Ibiza facelift engines:
- 1.2-litre, 60 PS
- 1.2 TSI Ecomotive, 105 PS , 175 Nm at 1,550 rpm, 5.1 litres/100 km
- 1.4 TSI (supercharged and turbocharged), 150 PS, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7.8 seconds (with DSG), top speed 212 km/h (132 mph)
- 1.2 TDI E Ecomotive, 75 PS, 180 Nm, start/stop, 3.4 liters per 100 km, 89 g/km CO2
- 2.0 TDI, 143 PS, top speed 210 km/h (130 mph), 4.6 liters per 100 km.
The 2012 Seat Ibiza facelift model range will be available with a choice between five- and six-speed manual transmissions, and the DSG gearbox. Its equipment list includes ESP, an XDS electronic differential lock, ABS and 15- to 17-inch alloy wheels.
The 2012 Seat Ibiza FR comes with new aerodynamics, including front and rear bumpers, special alloy wheels and a leather-clad steering wheel.
Even though Seat did not announce the price list of the facelifted 2012 Ibiza range, it did mention it will go on sale at the middle of this year.
