Skoda Fabia Cabriolet

According to the Dutch press, the Skoda Fabia Cabriolet is on the wish list at the VW brand. Apparently, the Skoda Fabia Cabriolet will use the same technology as the Audi A1 cabrio and, if it becomes a reality, it will have a soft-top. The main problem regarding a possible Skoda Fabia Cabriolet is the fact that it will not have much market success outside of Europe. The EU market is the main one for compact convertibles, so the Skoda Fabia Cabriolet will be sold mostly here.

The Skoda Fabia Cabriolet will probably feature the same engine line-up as the hard-top version. This means it could offer the 1.2 TDI CR diesel engine with 75bhp that's the most efficient one offered on the model.

If it will hit the streets, maybe we'll get a Skoda Fabia vRS Cabriolet which will be quite the toy. The power will come from a 1.4 TSI supercharged engine developing 180bhp. This and the wind in your hair could result in quite a ride.

At the moment, the Skoda Fabia Cabriolet is just speculation, but we'll keep you posted if any new info regarding the soft-top model surfaces.
