TomTom and Sony have announced a new partnerships which will result in the Sony Xplod AV Navigation system getting TomTom's expertise in the field. The Sony Xplod AV Navigation system will include TomTom's LIVE services which feature the HD Traffic technology. HD Traffic manages to offer up-to-date speed camera information on both fixed and mobile cameras, live weather reports, and Google business address searches.
The Sony Xplod AV Navigation system will be able to offer accurate information on the arrival time taking into account such details as rush hour, traffic lights, and even shopping crowds.
The Sony Xplod AV Navigation system price has not been announced yet and the company says it will be made available at first in France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland and the UK.
