After computers, MP3-Players and mobile phones Apple wants to offer also a navigation and sound systems for cars. It seems that Mercedes will be the first to use it.
After analyzing what Apple is focusing on at the moment, it seems that the system will combine maintenance, communication and navigation in a single unit.
Similar as with iPhone, Apple might work with Google to also integrate Google Maps on this system as a navigation aid.
Mercedes will be able to offer exclusively the new Apple set for six months. The system will be available probably by 2009.
