Subaru developed the Subaru G4e concept car to suggest the "near future". The Subaru G4e is an eco-car equipped with zero-emission technology. Subaru is researching and developing EV, such as the R1e being developed with Tokyo Electric Power Company. This research includes an increased range battery that uses vanadium.
The Subaru G4e (G4e - Green for the earth) aims to combine spacious interior with a sporty exterior while maintaining the compact size. The Subaru G4e has a triangular shape, the headlights are coordinated with a mathematical design. The triangular shape of the Subaru G4e is also functional achieving a 0.276 drag coefficient. The rear view camera integrated with the metallic trim of the A-pillar is
designed as a wedge that takes and stops the flow of the trim for a look of momentum. The charging connector of the Subaru G4e is located on the bottom center of the front bumper.
The seats of the Subaru G4e are colored in red and white and they are suggestive of the VIP box in an opera theatre.
