Subaru finally revealed the long (too long) awaited 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Subaru says that the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI still remains a "driver's car" that offers you a total driving control.

The AWD 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI has a combination of power, performance and handling designed exclusively for it. It also takes into account safety and the environmental aspects.

The design of the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, developed from the Impreza model, emphasizes its performance credentials integrating function and styling. The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI has shortened front and rear overhangs, a longer wheel base and widened body flares.

The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI has a horizontally-opposed 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo charged engine that is mated to the SI-DRIVE (SUBARU Intelligent Drive). The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI also features a Symmetrical AWD and a 6 speed manual transmission, multi mode DCCD (Driver's Control Center Differential) and VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control). DCCD and VDC systems are used for traction and stability control. The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI's chassis is evolved from the SUBARU Dynamic Control Concept.
