Subaru revealed at the 2015 NY auto show the new WRX STI Rallycross, which is going to compete in various Red Bull Global and X Games events this year. The 2015 Subaru WRX STI Rallycross is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer engine that develops 580 hp. The engine sends its power to the AWD system through a 6-speed SADEV sequential transmission. According to Subaru's official specifications, the new 2015 WRX STI Rallycross is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 2 seconds! Subaru's new 2015 WRX STI meets the GRC and FIA Rallycross homologation standards. It features a wide body kit, METHOD racing wheels, a roll cage, sport bucket seats, a roof scoop and other racing equipment. Subaru says they have modified the center of gravity of the WRX STI, as well as its suspension setup.
They also optimized its weigh balance and improved its aerodynamics and its handling. Subaru also improved the WRX STI's launching capability at start. We'll have more details about the 2015 Subaru WRX STI Rallycross as soon as they're available.
