As previously announced, Subaru has launched the Subaru Impreza STI tS on its home market. The Subaru Impreza STI tS doesn't offer extra power, but it does have a lot of extra goodies in comparison to the standard model. The Subaru Impreza STI tS is based on the new, 2011, four-door sedan version of the STI, and comes with a carbon fiber roof. The should reduce the weight of the WRX STI significantly, which in turn, improves performance and handling. Even more weight saving measures have been taken with the Subaru Impreza STI tS through the introduction of an aluminum hood.
The Subaru Impreza STI tS also comes with a revised suspension, with new front and rear springs and damper settings, and a front stabilizer bar.
At the interior, the Subaru Impreza STI tS features new leather RECARO sport seats, and new gear knob and brake lever coverings.
The Subaru Impreza STI tS price starts in Japan at just over 4.2 million YEN. At this point, the company did not announce whether or not it will sell the Subaru Impreza STI tS on other markets too.
