Subaru revealed at this year's New York auto show the new WRX Concept, which previews the future version of the Impreza WRX. We have to say that the Subaru WRX concept looks shamelessly aggressive. If the Impreza WRX is going to be so aggressive, just imagine how the future WRX STI is going to look like. Even though Subaru does not mention it, the future WRX will probably have a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine and an all-wheel-drive system. Subaru says that the future WRX is going to offer even sharper handling and steering as well as a more communicative chassis. The new Subaru WRX concept comes with a carbon fiber roof, which lowers the high-performance sedan's center of gravity and reduces its weight. The new WRC concept is lower and wider than the current Impreza WRX sedan, and it comes with a new front grille and an air scoop on the bonnet.

The bonnet also features a power dome to accommodate the new engine and its intercooler.

The new WRX concept measures 178.0 inches in length, 74.4 inches in width and 54.7 inches in height. Its wheelbase measures 108.7 inches.

Subaru's new WRX concept shows LED headlights and DRLs, and LED rear lights. There are also high-performance brakes with ventilated discs, a huge rear diffuser and four large exhaust tailpipes.

The WRX concept comes with a new exterior color, called WR Blue Pearl III, which is meant to bring the brand a fresh new look. Instead of the traditional gold accents, the new WRX uses Fluorescent Yellow for the badges and the exhaust tips. The sedan sits on BBS RI-D One Piece Forged Duralumin wheels and 245/40ZR20 Dunlop tires.
