At the end of last week Suzuki has launched the Suzuki Ritz premium compact car in India. The Suzuki Ritz offers a choice between a K12M 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel unit also featured on the Swift.
The Suzuki Ritz is produced at the Maruti Suzuki India plant in Gurgaon and will go on sale later this month.
The petrol version of the Suzuki Ritz offers a low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions level and will be the first car sold in India to comply with the country’s BS-IV emission standard, which comes into force in April 2010.
On other markets the Suzuki Ritz is known as the Splash.
