VW announced that at this year's Techno Classica show in Essen it will launch it's special brand of Ketchup, called Volkswagen Classic Ketchup, obviously. since April Fool's day has passed, it seem VW is actually going to do it. Apart from the Volkswagen Classic Ketchup, the highlights of the German company's stand at the show will be the Iltis, Type 181, Apal Buggy, Golf Country, Tarek, T3 and its successors and the K70.
The Volkswagen Classic Ketchup will be a limited edition, and the company plans to sell only 1,000 bottles of the stuff. If you think VW is new in the Ketchup business, you're wrong. In 1997 Volkswagen launched the Spiced Ketchup which sold in 20,000 bottles that year.
Although VW seems very serious about this, we'll go with a late April Fool's on this one.
