4,107 The 2012 Kia Optima version used for the purpose of this review is the 1.7 CRDi 2 Tech. Priced at 21,695 GBP, Kia's 1.7 CRDi Optima 2012 comes with a 1.7-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine, which has an output of 134 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 239 lb-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm. Powered by this powertrain, the 2012 Optima is able to reach a top speed of 125 mph and it can get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.2 seconds. Even though it's not blistering fast, it does make up in efficiency. Kia rates the 2012 Optima 1.7 CRDi with a 57.6 mpg combined fuel economy and a 128 g/km CO2 emissions level.
