The 2016 Kia Optima was unveiled today at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. The Korean carmaker revealed its complete specs together with its full equipment list. Even though the 2016 Kia Optima's price list has not been disclosed yet, its manufacturer says it will go on sale towards the end of this year. The 2016 Kia Optima comes with a completely new exterior and interior design, HID headlights with High Beam Assist and a range of other features. For the interior of the 2016 Optima, Kia chose high quality materials than before, soft-touch materials, and a new infotainment system with Android and Apple connectivity. The new Kia Optima (2016) is going to be sold with a choice between three engines: a 2.4-liter (185 hp and 241 Nm), a 1.6-liter turbo with 178 hp and 264 Nm and a 2.0-liter turbo with 247 hp and 352 Nm of torque.
The engines can be mated to either a 6-speed automatic gearbox, or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
The 2016 Kia Optima's equipment list includes, among others, Around View Monitor, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Autonomous Emergency Braking. Here are the full specifications of the new 2016 Optima.
