The Mercedes AMG GT-R was recently spotted during testing on the Nurburgring race track in Germany. Unfortunately, the prototype is completely covered in camouflage, so we can't really distinguish its design features, apart from the rear wing. The world debut of the Mercedes AMG GT-R is expected to take place later this year at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed. Even though the technical specifications of the Mercedes AMG GT-R are a closely guarded secret at the moment, some speculated its 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine could put out at much as 600 hp. Some sources also report that the Mercedes AMG GT-R is going to weigh around 170 kg less than the standard version of the supercar.
Don't expect the GT-R to be the top of the range version of the model. Some rumors say Mercedes is also planning an AMG GT Black Series. This version is going to be even more powerful than the GT-R and lighter.
We'll have more details regarding the Mercedes AMG GT-R as soon as they are available.
