Today's second new from the specialists at EDO Competition is the launch of the new version of their Edo Maserati MC12. The 2008 Edo Maserati MC12 is powered by a V12 engine that develops 700 hp (514 kW) at 8200 rpm, which is 55 hp less than the Corsa version, and 715 Nm (527 ft-lb) of torque at 5800 rpm. these power figures say that the 2008 Edo Maserati MC12 has a top speed of more than 370 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.

The power increase of the 2008 Edo Maserati MC12 has been made possible by adding new exhaust headers, highflow catalytic converter, a performance muffler, a modified intake system, a new carbon fiber airbox, high-flow air filters. The ECU has also been re-programmed.

To stop the new version uses ceramic brakes with 396 mm (15.6 in.) front discs and 360 mm (14.2in.) rear brake discs and special pads for both front and rear.

One of the key advantages of the new 2008 Edo Maserati MC12 is a 100 kg (220 lb) weight reduction that has been made possible by using special lightweight wheels and a high-performance clutch with two different friction settings strada/pista (road/track).



The new Maserati MC12 by Edo Competition is also equipped with a new adjustable rear wing and a new transmission that offers very short shift times.
