RENNtech has released its 2008 Mercedes wheels line for the S, CL SL, E, and CLS class and Black series AMG. RENNtech's 2008 line of performance wheels for the Mercedes S Class and CL Class (2007 and newer models) includes a 3 pc. version of RENNtech's signature 10 spoke design, and a new limited-edition anthracite 5 poke wheel.
The new RENNtech 10 spoke, based on the 1 pc. "Monolite" design, is available in anodized, chrome, and brushed satin finishes. "The satin finish is really something unique," says Hartmut Feyhl, president of RENNtech and ex technical director at AMG North America. "It's not the same kind of brushed finish you see on mass-produced wheels - you can only do a finish like
this on a true forged wheel. It's hard to capture the effect on camera."
The 2008 RENNtech Mercedes wheels line is the first one to include 22" rims.
The new 3 pc. wheels weigh 28 lbs. which reduces unsprung weight compared to the stock Mercedes or AMG wheels, improving the car's handling and the ride quality. Hartmut Feyhl said : "These wheels are lighter and stronger than stock wheel. This is especially important for drivers who
participate in track events like the AMG Experience."
These RENNtech wheels are limited editions and even if you live in South Beach or Beverly Hills, you can be sure that the guy next to you at the stop light does not have the same rims.
The 2008 RENNtech Mercedes wheels are available in 20", 21", and 22" sizes (starting at 1940.00 USD) and can ship in time for Christmas.
The limited edition 5 spoke wheels (for S and CL class) are available in matte Anthracite and
painted/polished finishes. The 10 spoke (available for S, CL SL, E, and CLS class and Black series AMG) are available in chrome, satin/brushed, matte Anthracite, and painted/polished finishes.
Although RENNtech took care of the Mercedes S, CL SL, E, CLS class and Black series AMG owners for this Christmas, the Mercedes SLR owners are to expect important news next week.
