2011 Scion tC convertible planned

 »  »  »

One of today's rumors says Toyota is planning to offer the 2011 Scion tC convertible by the end of this year. If the 2011 Scion tC convertible will make it on the market it will be the first convertible bearing the Scion badge. Since the brand aims at the younger audience, an open-top version of the tC makes all the sense.

The 2011 Scion tC convertible will probably be powered by the same engine as the sedan, which means it will have a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder unit developing 180 hp and 11 lbs.-ft of torque. The 2011 Scion tC convertible will be offered with a choice between two 6-speed transmissions - a manual and an automatic.

The 2011 Scion tC convertible will probably have

a soft-top and will be heavier than the sedan. This will result in slightly reduced performance. The 2011 Scion tC convertible price, if the car goes on sale, will be announced at a later date.
