Audi announced today the price of the new A8 hybrid (2012) for the European market. The new 2012 Audi A8 hybrid will be available in the EU in two versions: standarda, which measures 5.14 meters (16.86 ft) in lenght, and long-wheelbase (A8L hybrid), which is 13 centimeters (5.12 in) longer. Both versions of the new A8 hybrid (2012) are powered by the same 2.0 TFSI engine, which works together with an electrci motor. The total output of the new "green" limousine is rated at 180 kW (245 hp) and 480 Nm (354.03 lb ft). Out of those, the internal combustion petrol engine is "responsible" for 155 kW (211 hp) and 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque. In terms of performance, the 2012 Audi A8 hybrid can get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.7 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 235 km/h (146.02 mph). Auydi rates the new 2012 A8 hybrid with a 6.3 liters of fuel per 100 km (37.34 US mpg) fuel consumption on the combined cycle and a 147 grams per km (236.57 g/mile) CO2 emissions level. The 2012 Audi A8 hybrid's price starts at €77,700, while the A8L will cost you at least €85,400.
