Audi revealed today the top of the line version of the high-performance RS Q3, together with its full specs and its price list. The name of the new version of the crossover is exactly that one, the Audi RS Q3 Performance. The tiny German SUV continues to be powered by the 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, but its horsepower output has been bumped up to 270 kW (367 hp) and 465 Nm (343.0 lb ft) of torque between 1,625 and 5,550 rpm. Thanks to the extra 20 kW (27 hp), the Audi RS Q3 Performance is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 167.8 mph (270 km/h). According to Audi's official specs, the RS Q3 Performance offers an 8.6-liter per 100 km (27.4 US mpg) combined fuel consumption and a 203 g/km (326.7 g/mi) CO2 emissions level.
The engine of the Audi RS Q3 Performance continues to be mated to the seven-speed S tronic gearbox and the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. This dual-clutch transmission allows the driver to change gears manually or let the car to the work instead. In the dynamic mode each gear change is accompanied by double-declutching.
The Audi RS Q3 Performance sits 20 mm (0.8 in) lower than the standard Q3. Its new suspension offers damper control as an option.
The distinctive exterior design features of Audi's RS Q3 Performance include new front and rear aprons, a rear diffuser, matt titanium-look trim parts, and the 20-inch alloys. At the interior, the RS Q3 Performance features special white dials with red needles, sport seats, a special leather steering wheel, and other styling parts.
The Audi RS Q3 Performance's price starts at 61,000 EUR. The first deliveries of the new high-performance crossover with start in the second quarter of 2016.
