Audi announced today the base price for the Q3 together with the fact that the new crossover enters production at the car manufacturer's Martorell factory. Audi plans to build 100,000 units of the Q3 annually, with the first ones going on sale this month. The Audi Q3 will be put on sale with a choice between three four-cylinder engines (one TDI and two TSI) with outputs ranging from 103 kW (140 hp) to 155 kW (211 hp). When designing the Q3, Audi took special care to keep its weight to a minimum. The Audi Q3 quattro weighs 1,500 kilograms (3,306.93 lb), largely because its engine hood and the wrap-around hatchback with integrated tail lights are made of aluminum. Audi uses steel only for the rigid, safe passenger cell of the Q3.
The Audi Q3 price list starts at 29,900 EUR in Germany, and the Ingolstadt car maker says it will start selling it in June.
