The 2012 Ford Focus Zetec S was unveiled today, as it went on sale in the UK. With a price tag starting at 18,745 GBP, Ford's 2012 Focus Zetec S cost just as much as a Focus Titanium. Ford designed the 2012 Focus Zetec S to be next step under the high performance Focus ST, which will go on sale next year. With a choice between four engines, and anew body kit, the new Zetect hopes to build on the success of its predecessors.
The equipment list of the 2012 Focus Zetec includes 17-inch alloys, a sport suspension with stiffer springs and dampers, rear LED taillights and sport pedals, and a starter button. The new aerodynamics package fitted on the 2012 Zetec Focus features new front and rear bumpers and lower side skirts.
2012 Ford Focus Zetec S engines:
- 1.6-litre 180PS EcoBoost turbo-charged petrol engine with 139g/km CO2;
- 1.6-litre 115PS TDCi with ECOnetic Technology;
- 1.6-litre 125PS Ti-VCT petrol;
- 2.0-litre 163PS TDCi.
The first two engine options are available with a manual transmission, while the last two will also offer the choice of a PowerShift automatic gearbox. Ford's 2012 Focus Zetec 1.6 EcoBoost is rated with a top speed of 138 mph and a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 7.9 seconds. The 2012 Focus Zetec 1.6-litre TDCi is the more efficient choice. It's equipped with an auto start-stop function, smart regenerative charging, Ford's ECO mode, a gear shift indicator, and an active grille shutter.
