Over the weekend the first sketch of the future generation 2012 Mercedes A Class has leaked over the web. It offers the first chance to see the major design features of Merc's future 2012 A Class, before its premiere at the Shanghai auto show. Mercedes is expected to show the 2012 A Class for the first time in April this year, and the new model will probably go on sale before the end of 2011.
The 2012 Mercedes A Class seems to borrow quite a few styling elements from the F800 concept, unveiled in February 2010. The 2012 Mercedes A Class will have a more dynamic exterior design, that will put it closer to the hatchback body style.
The production version of the 2012 Mercedes A Class will be put on sale with a choice between a petrol and diesel engines, however, an AMG version is not expected at this moment.
We'll have more details on the 2012 Mercedes A Class as soon as they're available.
