Mercedes revealed this week the new 2016 A Class facelift together with its high-performance version, the 2016 A45 AMG. As far as the interior and exterior design of the 2016 Mercedes A Class goes, not much has changed. The front and rear bumpers of the 2016 Mercedes A Class have been slightly redesigned, as well as its front grille and headlights. The 2016 Mercedes A Class is going to be sold with several petrol and diesel engines. The diesel range of the new Mercedes A Class (2016) includes the following models: A160d, A180d, A200d and A220d. The petrol versions include the A160, the A180, the A200, the A220 and the A250. The 2016 Mercedes A45 AMG continues to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
However, the power output of the 2016 A45 AMG has been increased to 280 kW / 381 hp at 6,000 rpm and 475 Nm of torque at 2,250-5,000 rpm. With the extra power, the new Mercedes A45 AMG (2016) is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds. It appears that Mercedes tweaked the hp output of the A45 AMG so that it will overpower the Audi RS3.
