Ciceley Racing, a racing team based in the UK, announced recently its plans to compete in the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) with a heavily modified Mercedes A Class. The Mercedes A Class BTCC is set to have its racing debut next March with Adam Morgan at the wheel. Adam Morgan is better known as the Ginetta GT Supercup champion. Unfortunately, Ciceley Racing did not disclose any details regarding their BTCC version of the Mercedes A Class. However, we can make a few assumptions. The BTCC A Class probably features a full roll cage, a sport bucket seat, upgraded brakes, an adjustable suspension system and various safety systems. Even though Ciceley Racing did not mention anything about this, we can assume that the A Class' engine has also received various modifications in order to offer more power and torque.

The Mercedes A Class BTCC comes with a new aerodynamic package, that includes wider fenders, a huge rear wing, modified bumpers and probably a rear diffuser. We'll have more details regarding the BTCC version of the A Class Merc as soon as they're available.
