Renault finally revealed today in Frankfurt the latest generation of their popular mini, the 2012 Twingo. The 2012 Renault Twingo some with fresh exterior styling, updated engines and an upgraded interior. For 2012, Renault is offering two new colors for the Twingo, including Fuchsia and Bermuda Blue, two additional tail lights integrated into the rear hatch, a re-styled rear bumper and a new set of 17-inch light ally wheels. The overall design of the 2012 Twingo features softer lines, which will probably appeal more the women segment of the market.
The interior, the 2012 Renault Twingo comes with a higher quality upholstery, leather or TEP panels and various colorful trim parts. Renault says that the 2012 Twingo offers 22 cm of legroom
(probably in the back), and independently sliding, 50/50-split rear seats. The luggage compartment can be increased from 230 liters to 959 liters by folding the rear seats.
The 2012 Renault Twingo will be available with a 1.2 TCe engine developing 100 hp and 155 Nm of torque, which is able to offer a 55.4 mpg fuel consumption in the combined cycle and a 119g/km CO2 emissions level, which means the car is Euro 6 compliant.
Renault announced that they will offer various personalization options for the 2012 Twingo, including five roof decals, and different colors for the door mirrors and tips of the protective side moldings.
The 2012 Renault Twingo price list was not announced today, but the car maker says it will put the new generation model on sale early next year. Watch the 2012 Renault Twingo on video for the first time lower down this page.
