The 2013 Mitsubishi Mirage was unveiled today, before its public debut which will take place at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show. Mitsubishi produced the Mirage for the first time in 1978, but ended its production in 2002. This year, they've developed a new version of the Mirage, which comes with a modern design and the latest technology. Mitsu's 2013 Mirage is powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder MIVEC with engine equipped with the new Auto Stop & Go (AS&G) system. The AS&G is there for reducing the car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Mitsubishi says that the 2013 Mirage will have a fuel consumption of 30 km/liter.

Mitsubishi's 2013 Mirage is equipped with the CVT transmission and a front-wheel-drive system.

The Mitsubishi Mirage 2013 is a small, 5-door hatchback, measuring 3710 mm in length, 1665 mm and with and 1490 mm in height. It promises to offer enough room for four occupants.

Mitsubishi took special care in increasing the efficiency of the 2013 Mirage, by reducing the friction and rolling resistance of its engine, transmission, brakes and tires. They also gave the 2013 Mirage a highly aerodynamic body.



The 2013 Mitsubishi Mirage price list was not announced yet, but the company says it will put it on sale in March 2012. Watch the 2013 Mirage on video lower down this page.
