The 2013 Renault Clio RS Cup is the competition version of the new Clio RS, which just had its world premiere at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. The racing version of the 2013 Renault Clio RS is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine developed Oreca Magny-Cours, which puts out 220hp and 270Nm of torque. The engine of the 2013 Clio RS Cup is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission with an AP Racing clutch and a limited slip differential. Renault is offering the paddle-shift gear change as an optional extra. Renault says that the new powertrain of the 2013 Clio Cup makes it on average one second per lap faster than the previous normally-aspirated 2.0-litre unit.

The equipment list of the 2013 Clio Cup includes 320mm AP Racing front discs and four-piston calipers, ZF-Sachs one-way adjustable dampers and bespoke aluminum wishbones. The 2013 Clio Cup's data acquisition system uses a TFT full color dash display for showing the information.

For improved aerodynamics, Renault equips the 2013 Clio Cup with a new rear wing that offers 40kg of downforce at 125mph. The car also features a roof scoop and 17-inch Speedline Corse racing alloys. The new Clip Cup (2013) has of course, all the safety features required by competitive racing.

The 2013 Renault Clio RS Cup's price for the UK market is set at €37,800 excluding VAT. The new race car will go on sale in September 2013.
