The new generation 2013 Renault Clio RS had its world debut today in Paris. The new Clio Renaultsport 200 is powered by a 1.6-litre 16-valve four-cylinder turbocharged engine mated to an EDC dual-clutch six-speed transmission. The output of Renault's 2013 Clio RS is rated at 200 hp at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm of torque from just 1,750 rpm to 5,600 rpm. This is 25 Nm of torque more than its predecessor. Renault says that this new engine needs on average 2 liters / 100 km of fuel less than the previous version. As always, the new Renault Clio RS (2013) is offered with a choice between two chassis: Sport and Cup. The Cup chassis offers 15 per cent more stiffness and a 5 mm lowered ride height. The new Clio RS (2013) comes with 320mm-diameter front brake discs, which represents an 8mm increase over its predecessor.

The 2013 Clio RS offers three driving modes (Normal, Sport and Race), each offering different settings for the engine and gearbox mapping, ESC settings, steering feeling and throttle pedal response. The R-Sound Effect system of the new Clio RS (2013) various noises through the car's speakers, simulating iconic engines.

To generate extra downforce, the 2013 Clio RS is equipped with an F1-style front blade, and a new rear diffuser and spoiler, which generate 80 per cent and 20 per cent extra downforce respectively. The equipment list also includes new bumpers, a re-styled front grille, LED DRLs, 17- or 18-inch wheels, and a dual-tailpipe exhaust system. Renault will sell the 2013 Clio RS with touchscreen navigation, a hands-free key card, and Bluetooth radio with USB connectivity.

The prices of the 2013 Renault Clio RS and its availability have not been announced yet.
