 »  »  »

The Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy EDC had its world debut today at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. The most significant improvement brought by the Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy EDC over the regular model is the engine's increased power output. The 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine has gained 20 hp and 20 Nm of torque. This means that the Clio RS 220 Trophy EDC develops 220 hp and 260 Nm of torque. This is quite a lot for such a small car. Renault also equips the Clio RS 220 Trophy EDC with a torque booster. This function increases the output of the engine to 280 Nm in the fourth and fifth gears. Renault also improved the transmission in the case of the Clio RS 220 Trophy EDC. It now offers 40% faster gear shifts in Normal and sport mode and 50% faster shifts in Race mode.

Unfortunately, Renault's official specs do not mention its performance figures. The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration and the top speed of the Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy EDC are going to be announced at a later date.

The equipment list of the Clio Renaultsport 220 Trophy EDC includes 18-inch alloys, a lowered suspension (20mm front and 10 mm rear), a leather interior, on-board telemetry and carbon fiber trim parts. Here are the full details and specifications of the Clio Renaultsport 220 Trophy EDC. Its price list is going to be announced at a later date. The new model goes on sale this June.
