The French carmaker revealed today the new generation 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso, which it will probably go on sale soon. The new (2014) comes with a new exterior and interior design, and it has different dimensions than the current version of the model. The 20014 C4 Picasso has shorter overhangs (-70 mm at the front), a lower engine block (-40mm to -50mm) and floor (-20mm) and wider tracks (+82mm at front and +31mm at the rear). The new 2014 C4 Picasso measures 4.43m in length, 1.83m in width and 1.61m in height. It has a 537-litre boot that can be increased to 630-litres by folding down its rear seats. Citroen equips the new C4 Picasso (2014) with LED DRLs, various wheels sets in 16-, 17- and 18-inch sizes.
For the interior of the 2014 C4 Picasso, Citroen is offering a large panoramic glass roof, front massage seats, higher quality materials, including full-grain leather, satin-finish chrome and gloss black trim parts. The equipment list of the new C4 Picasso (2014) includes two screens (a 7-inch touchpad and 12-inch panoramic HD screen), USB connectivity and the Citroen Multicity Connect system. The 2014 C4 Picasso also features key less entry and start-up, a power tailgate, a reversing camera, the 360 VISION and PARK ASSIST.
Citroen is going to sell the 2014 C4 Picasso with a range of engines, some of them coming with Stop & Start technology. The new engines of the c4 Picasso (2014) emits on average 30g/km less CO2 than the current ones. The 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso e-HDi 90 Airdream with a 6-speed clutchless gearbox emits 98g/km of CO2 and it offers a 74mpg combined fuel economy. Other engines offers with the new Citroen C4 Picasso include the e-HDi 115 (104g/km CO2), and BlueHDi 150 (110g/km of CO2). This new 6-speed clutchless transmission is called the ETG6 and it's available on the e-HDi 90 and the e-HDi 115.
The safety systems offered with the 2014 C4 Picasso include Active cruise control, Active driver and passenger front seatbelts, a video LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System), automatic high beam operation, a blind spot monitoring system and the carmaker's eTouch system.
Citroen is going to announce the price list and availability of the 2014 C4 Picasso at a later date.
