Citroen C4 Cactus

Citroen revealed today the new C4 Cactus, which, with a very interesting design, aims to be an alternative to the classic compact hatchback. We're not really sure if the Citroen C4 Cactus is going to be an alternative to the hatchback, but we sure it is going to stand apart through its exterior design. Citroen fitted the C4 Cactus with a few innovations, such as the airbump, which is customizable and helps protect the body. Citroen says that the C4 Cactus is operated using fully digital controls, which are grouped around a 7-inch touch screen. The C4 Cactus is fitted with sofa-style seats at the front, which we're not sure it's a very good idea. The driver needs lateral support to know where the car's center of gravity is, and it wants to go. The C4 Cactus' front passenger no longer has the airbag in the front. Instead the airbag deploys from above.

The Citroen C4 Cactus is also fitted with a panoramic glazed roof.

The Cactus version of the Citroen C4 is 200 kg lighter than the regular version. As a result, the C4 Cactus offers a fuel economy of 3.1l/100 km and an 82g CO2/km emissions level in the diesel version. The petrol-powered model emits less than 100g/km of CO2. Citroen is going to announce the full specifications, pricing and availability of the C4 Cactus at a later date.
