The updated 2015 Mercedes C Class Estate has been revealed today, as the German carmaker released its complete specs and equipment list. In comparison to its predecessor, the 2015 Mercedes C Class Estate has an 80-mm longer wheelbase (2,840 millimeters), 96 mm longer (4702 millimeters) and 40 mm wider (1810 millimeters). This means that the rear passengers of the new Mercedes C Class Estate (2015) have 45 mm more legroom. The new 2015 C Class Estate offers a larger boot (490 litres with the rear bench up or 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded). The rear seats of the new C Class Estate have a 40:20:40 split instead of 60:40. The new C Class Estate is 65 kilograms lighter than its predecessor thanks to extensive use of aluminum.
Some of the new optional extras offered by Mercedes for the 2015 C Class Estate include an EASY PACK power liftgate, and a HANDS-FREE ACCESS system.
2015 Mercedes C Class Estate Engines:
- BlueTEC diesel engines with SCR technology (selective catalytic reduction): from 85 kW (115 hp) to 150 kW (204 hp);
- C300 BlueTEC HYBRID: 150 + 20 kW (204 + 27 hp), 3.8 litres of diesel per 100 km/h, 99 g/km of CO2;
- BlueDIRECT petrol engines: from 115 kW to 245 kW (156 hp to 333 hp);
- C350 HYBRID: 155 + 50 kW.
The equipment list of the 2015 Mercedes C Class Estate includes a touchpad with a 65x45 millimeter control surface, and a head-up display, an AIRMATIC air suspension, 4MATIC all-wheel drive and four driving modes: Comfort, ECO, Sport and Sport+.
