Subaru revealed at the end of last week the new generation 2015 Legacy sedan, which features more efficient engines, a new exterior and interior design, and new safety systems. The 2015 Subaru Legacy is going to be sold with a choice between two boxer engines. The entry level version of Subaru's 2015 Legacy 2.5i is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.5-liter engine that develops 175 hp and 174 lb.-ft. In terms of efficiency, the 2015 Subaru Legacy 2.5i is rated with a fuel economy of 26 mpg city / 36 mpg highway / 30 mpg combined. The 2015 Subaru Legacy V6 comes with a 3.6-liter powertrain that's good for 256 hp and 247 lb.-ft. of torque. Subaru rates the V6 version of the new Legacy (2015) with a fuel consumption of 20 mpg city / 28 mpg highway / 23 combined.
Both versions of the new Subaru Legacy (2015) are equipped with a Lineartronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Subaru equips the 2015 Legacy with 17- and 18-inch alloys, Active Torque Vectoring, a retuned suspension, and an enhanced Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) stability and traction control system. The 2015 Subaru Legacy offers more room for the passengers (104.6 cu. ft.) than its predecessors, as well as more leg room, a larger boot (15.0 cu. ft.), and 60/40 split fold-down rear seats.
For the interior of the 2015 Legacy, Subaru is offering a new instrument display, a 3- or 5-inch center LCD information display, an ECO gauge, and a new infotainment system. The new infotainment system of the 2015 Subaru Legacy includes AM/FM stereo and HD Radio, Radio Data Broadcast System, single-disc in-dash CD player, 6.2-in. multi-function touch screen display, and Bluetooth / USB connectivity.
