The Japanese manufacturer has launched today the Subaru Legacy STI S402 in its home country. It comes in tow body styles - sedan and station wagon - and is powered by the 2.5L (liters) DOHC 4-cylinder boxer engine. The Subaru Legacy STI S402 price starts at 5,491,500 yen for the station wagon version and 5.355 million yen for the sedan.
The Subaru Legacy STI S402 comes equipped with the SI-DRIVE (SUBARU Intelligent Drive) system. The performance upgrades include a BILSTEIN suspension, Brembo brakes and (as much as we understand from the Japanese press release) a re-programmed ECU.
The Subaru Legacy STI S402 has a wider body
(20 mm) than the standard version and sits on 18" forged aluminum wheels and Bridgestone POTENZA tires.
The interior features a black and dark gray color scheme with extensive use of leather.
The fact that the press release has just a Japanese version leads us to believe the Subaru Legacy STI S402 will only be available in this market.
