The new 2016 BMW M6 GT3 had its world debut today at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. As you can imagine, most if its technical specifications are a closely guarded secret, but BMW did revealed a few details. The BMW M6 GT3 weighs less than 1,300 kilograms and it comes with a modified version of a series-produced engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. It features a centrally-positioned driver's seat, transaxle drive concept, and a sequential six-speed racing transmission. In comparison to the series production model, the BMW M6 GT3 comes with a wide body kit, a new front bumper, modified side skirts, a rear diffuser, a massive rear wing, and a new hood. BMW says that the new M6 GT3 comes with significantly improved handling characteristics compared with the BMW Z4 GT3.

The BMW M6 GT3's price is set at 379,000 Euros. We'll have more details about the new endurance race car as soon as the German carmaker makes them available.
